The lake will be open for normal swimming at around 10am this Sunday.
Race briefings for volunteers and entrants will go out later this week.
We need you to enter our race in the next 48hrs!
Last Call for Triple Crown Leg 2, June 23rd.
We currently have 44 entries for the race on 23/6. The external costs for putting the race on are over £3000, and we have not had £2000 in from entries as yet. So if you were toying with entering, or leaving it late, its time to commit. We can promise you will have a great time.
We will take another look at entries on Friday morning and need to have 70 or more entered by then to make sure we go ahead.

After some difficulties with dog walkers today it is worth reiterating the following. Dogs are welcome in the car park and reception areas, NOT around the main lake and path. There are sensitive nesting bird areas that we are not to disturb, If your dog needs a longer walk please take it out of the main gate and down to the river path.
Just to confirm we are open 8:30am-2pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday over the bank holiday. See you at the lake.
Good Morning All
I am sorry to have to inform you that, reluctantly, we are going to cancel Leg 1 of the Triple Crown. As of this morning after a few weeks of extra marketing push, we are still only at 16 entries for the race. This would not be much of a race for you, and leave us facing a loss of nearly £2k for putting the event on, which we cannot afford.
I fear that the confusion over the date arising from the on/off Eastern Region Relays at Trifarm, and consequently moving to the Monday has really depressed interest.
We are happy to transfer any entries to either of our other Triple Crown Events (23/6, 4/8), or offer a full refund.
Entries for Legs 2 & 3 look okay 🙂
We will be open from Saturday, April 20th.
Our hours this year are:
Sat/Sun/Bank Hols 8:30am-2pm
The regional relay championships are coming to Trifarm. We expect nearly 400 competitors so I am afraid the site will be shut for the day for normal swimming on 26th May. We are also having to move Leg 1 of the Triple Crown to the following day, Bank Holiday Monday, 27th May.
Our events diary has now been updated with our race dates, Trinswimwell group sessions, and Introduction to Triathlon dates. Get booked in 🙂
Obviously we had a longer than anticipated break in the run up to Christmas due to our algae overlords and this has given Ruth and I some time to look at bigger picture items at Trifarm.
The first news item is that the much hoped for electricity connection is now not going to happen as it is simply too expensive, costing more than our annual turnover to connect! Trifarm is pretty much going to stay as is.
We are planning to open at Easter over the weekend of 20/21st April.
We cannot sustain a seven day a week operating model as the site barely covers it’s costs as it stands. We are going to close the site on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Otherwise opening hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will remain 5pm-8pm.
Weekend opening will remain as 8:30am-2pm, apart from the weekend of 13th/14th July when the site will be closed to allow us to attend the Latitude festival.
