September 2018

The Curtain Falls for 2018

Well folks the green goo remains steadfast at the lake, so I am afraid we will have to draw a veil over our 2018 season. We will put the site into hibernation over the next week or two, and look forward to seeing you back at an algae free lake over the Easter weekend next year.

Still feeling blue-green

No improvement at the lake today, still widespread algae visible across the whole windward side of the lake. We will make a final check towards the end of next week to see if we can rescue our last weekend of the season on the 29th/30th September. We are missing the lake, and all of our wonderful Trifarmers 🙂

And still the green monster lurks! Lake closed until 21/9

Trifarm will remain closed until at least 21/9 as there are still widespread algal blooms in the lake. We apologise for the continuing inconvenience, we would love to be welcoming you back to the lake.

The algae is still very visible and so it is not worth considering a water quality test until it has much less obvious to the naked eye.

Lake closed through 14/9, situation improving though

All
We still have significant algae present in the lake, however there are widespread signs that it is starting to die back. If the situation continues to improve over the next few days we will take a water test in the middle of next week to see if water quality has improved to allow swimming for the weekend of 15/16th. Fingers crossed!

Trifarm lake remains closed – Swimathon 8/9 at Trifarm cancelled

Morning all

I am afraid we remain firmly algaefied. Stubbornly present out beyond the buoy line. We will check again on Friday.

Those of you registered for the Swimathon on Saturday please check your emails as the organisers are trying to make alternative arrangements for you. So sorry to let you down after the fun that was had last year.

We are shut weekday evenings this week.
